About the Recipe

These healthy mars bars will most definitely satisfy your sweet tooth and they are super easy to make! They are vegan + dairy free and don’t contain any preservatives, additives, artificial colours or nasty ingredients; only wholesome organic ingredients that fuel your body 💛 We hope you enjoy these bars as much as we do!

Ingredients

BASE LAYER:

3/4 cup oat flour

3/4 cup almond flour

1/4 cup + 1 tbsp ‘date caramel layer’


DATE CARAMEL LAYER:

1 cup medjool dates soaked in boiling water

3 tbsp peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

6 tbsp date water

Pinch of salt


CHOCOLATE LAYER:

2x blocks dark chocolate


Additional add in: Peanuts

Preparation

Process ‘date caramel layer’ ingredients in a food processor until thick and creamy. Set aside.


Combine base ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands.


Pour into lined baking tin and press down firmly.


Pour remaining caramel layer on top of base layer. Sprinkle with peanuts and allow to set in freezer for a few hours.


Remove your tin from the freezer and cut into equally sized bars. Melt dark chocolate in a bowl and coat each bar in the melted chocolate. Place onto a plate and put back in freezer until chocolate has hardened.


Store in airtight container and enjoy!
